Description:
26" wide 6' long raised flue sap pan with 26" wide 2' long syrup pan on a homemade arch. Also included is a sap pan float box and float with cold sap valve, a stainless hood and copper preheater. I will include all brick that I used for the arch(arch board or blanket will be needed), pan gasket and base stack.

Hi I am interested in getting some info on your rig. Who made the pans? The door on the front is it glass it looks like you can see through it. Thanks

The pans were made by Rubin Peachey in Belleville, PA but I purchased them secondhand. The hood was also built by Rubin a month or so ago and I assembled it.


The best evaporation rate that I ever got was about 35 gph and happened before I got the hood and preheater. I believe that the reason for that is that my wood drew damp from leaky tarps that were covered by snow and when it melted, my evaporation rate went way down.


Yes, the door has glass in it. I replaced the rope that acts as a gasket a few weeks ago. One of the flat steel pieces that hold the glass in place is bent due to the heat.
