Did you place anything "over" the blanket? I am looking to brick and blanket our "new" arch. I was thinking to brick below the grates, and then blanket and 1/2 brick above in the fire box. The balance of the arch would be just blanket, but below the drop flues I was told that blanket "should be" protected from the possible errant flue brush. Would like to hear back on how yours worked and what your thoughts are. THANKS! Pete
