Default Recommendations on 3/16 manifold setups for shurflo pump?

Hi all, I'm in the thick of it now...I've got my ShurFlo pump on solar battery charge and now need to connect 3 (and maybe later 4) lines of 3/16 to the 3/8 tubing to my pump. Any recommendations on a good way to setup this manifold?

I was looking at something like this as a possibility after discovering my barb-fitting adapters are not actually the correct size:

I go 1/2" to the pump, then use a 3 or 6-way star fitting. They're 5/16, but then it's 5/16 tubing to a valve so I can close down a line, then the other side of the valve can be a 3/16 barb. Can also put a 5/16 quick connect fitting in between the star and the valve.

Star fitting is then a yearly replacement item. Cleaning them (or any manifold) is a pain.

Checkout this manifold that AlRock shared on this thread:

Eventually I want to shoot for something like that, but in the mean time I'm working on a setup similar to what DRoseum has here

funny, I had just stumbled across this one...since I only have a couple of lines, I wasn't sure that this would give me the liquid pull I need in the line.

I did some thing like the FB post but used a 4" PVC pipe. Put it vertical. Drilled and threaded the barbs into it. Worked great for me last year. I also put quick disconnect on the lines going into it.
    2013 25 taps 2.5 gallons
    2014 60 taps 9.5 gallons
    2015 12 x 16 sugar shack 200 taps 1500' 5/16 lines gravity. Home made arch, 2 x 3 pan and 18" x 24" steam pan.
2016 2 x 5 Smokey Lake hybrid pan. Custom steam hood and float box. Number of taps yet to be determined.
2017 Made 27 gallons. Added 60 taps on 3/16 lines.
2018 Adding more 3/16 lines. Made 55 gallons
2019 Added 4 totes for sap storage. Big shack upgrades.

I just built mini-version of the clear PVC manifold from FB. https://imgur.com/a/DpLXHVo

The biggest pain was getting a clean hole to tap for the 1/4 NPT tap. I ended up trying 4 different bits until i found one that didn't chip or tear out the hole. I also tried a few different liquid pipe dopes and ultimately settled on true-blu which actually hardens up a bit.

I made a clear manifold like that and used it for a couple years and then chucked it. Gets funky quickly. The novelty of seeing sap flow in is fun, until it hazes up with goop during a warm spell.

hmm, I was worried about that. I added a screw cap on one end to hopefully allow for cleaning, but I wouldn't be surprised if sealing that becomes an issue.

I had the same; that sealed fine. The tapped threads for the fittings definitely were the worst spot for leaks.
