Nearly froze to death but I finally got started on the shack addition. Spent twice as much time on it over the weekened and only got about 1/2 of what I expected done. Can anyone relate?
Got 1/2 the roof on and the walls up and wrapped in the house wrap... but thats it. So now it is nicely filling up with snow and I'll have to shovel it out when I'm done.

I was going to tap a new section of woods.. but gonna be travelling so much next month not sure if I should just retap same old section. I wanted to give that section a year off.

So at Yells and "when will they be big enough to really help" sons we are WAAAYYY behind as I like it.

They are probably going to say the 1/4" run as much or more so they can sell them. About like the micro spouts and some of the other things that have came out in the past few years that were the newest and greatest.

How much oil are you planning on burning through that bad boy? What nozzles are you going to use?

If you do you won't need to refuel all season!!! You also can't run out of sap or the whole world will know how you make syrup.
Dave Klish, I recently bought a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

I'm wondering if Theron's wife can be cloned!

It's doubtful we'll hit Theron-esque #s/tap this year but my math says we'll have a record year with only average weather. Should be fun!!!
