You can just come over anytime around the end of the day. By then Im tired out anyway. Im just going to try to get a ton of work done this weekend. I want to come down and see your setup. Next year your going to be on vac. Well get your dad trained on it. It wont be a big deal. Ill have to look at your woods and figure out something easy for you.
Sounds good to me. I already think I know where I will put in one sap ladder eventually. I think so far im doing it all right haha. Looks good to me anyway. About how far up 549 are you from route 6? Im not exactly sure where your at.
Jerry, The time thing is a very sticky / trickey thing. I could spend 60hrs week welding and make more money then I need, but give up one big thing FAMILY. I am fully aware that my sugaring time is worth 1/10th of my welding rate. But 1) The side effects arent known to cause cancer in California, 2) I don't have to work with miserable whine a** "they dont pay enough" people, I wont be blind when I am 50, I could go on and on. And Jerry If you did not love sugaring as much as me and everybody else on the trader you wouldn't be on hear trying to egg us all on.Quote:

I hung some more laterals today. It's slow going walking through 2 feet of snow with a crust on it hanging laterals by yourself. Going to mass maple producers annual meeting satuday and getting a two handed tubing tool so I can put in my drop lines. Next week my buddy is going to help me finish up tubing after school. Hopefully the snow we have will give me some more time till the season starts. Biter don't need any more.

Agreed. As my signature suggests, NEVER under estimate the power of the almighty BUCKET (and 7/16ths spout). Can't bring myself to get rid of the roadside trees even though they are a pain to collect. Its my gambling fix, walk up to the bucket and pop the lid. Never know what you are going to find. Even better when your walking up and a 16qt bucket is over flowing even though you emptied it yesterday!!!!!!!!!Quote:
