Testing

Tapped 20 for test--18 ran pretty well--temp 37 partly cloudy. Drips were half second apart--will tap another 80 tomorrow. . Next week looks pretty good--time to try!!

Scrape the 80 taps for today. Too much snow and freezing rain today, tomorrow will be better. Kirk I am just a few miles east about 5 or 6 mile north west of Holland. Come over if you like, there are 4 of us working together. About the buckets, as of now they have 2 - 3 inches sap and not running. Hard to say what the trees will do this year--probably tap early. Weather channel said this morning that our zone will be average or above temps so we may have another poor year???
