If your trees are large they will take longer to start running. But once they start hang on to your hat because it will come fast.

mine aren't really running either...i had a couple quarts come out of a huge red. Ehh... if theres no sap I'll do something else like pull down tree stands HAHAH

Remember that a R value of insulation is based on an inch of wood. It will take a little while to warm the trees up...last season it took ours almost a week to start to flow after the sub zero temps.

Patience is something that farmers and doctors need to survive.

Hang in there, ours didnt run either even on vacuum. I didnt expect them to, just wanted to check for tubing for leaks and clean the line a little. As others have said, trees need some time to thaw. Next week, the sap will come.

Nothing in the southern part of the state either. This being my first year, I am waiting to see what early next week brings.
