What is everyone doing to get ready for 1st flow? When are you tapping?

I haven't even started cleaning my equipment yet. Looking at the 10 day forecast, doesn't look like I'll be tapping any time soon. I'd like to be tapped by mid-February but we'll see.

built a 10x16 sugar shack this year and the temps are not looking good in the near future. looking to tap as soon as mother nature say so.

I work great under pressure to get things done! Nice we finally received snow to pack the sap in happy for that,forecast looks like at least over week n longer to tap?? Made 14 gallons last year will see what happens?
