I gave in.. Tapped today

I am turning the sugarbush over to my son and his girlfriend this year. So today we decided to start. Got in 44 bags and maybe 80 on tubing. Some were beginning to drip. We have had a pretty harsh past few weeks, meaning a pretty deep freeze. The ground in mud for the top 2 inches and then frozen solid under that.

We have over 250 taps out now. We have made 14 gallons of syrup to date.
