Made another 16 pints today bringing my total for the year 11.5 gallons...have to end 2-3 weeks early fences to build, ewes to lamb and wedding to attend in Reno, Mabey I'll squander some my syrup money when the wife's not looking...c ya next year

The way the weather looks this may be the last week for us southern guys.

Yes! With the weather and this being my first year, I'm very likely pulling my taps after this upcoming weekend. I built a block arch in the yard with 6 steam pans -- I'm getting tired of waiting for calm, warm, dry weather to boil. Also, since I don't have a spacewalk in freezer to store the sap, my wife wants her fridge back ;). So, I'll probably boil again this weekend and hang it up for 2013.
