Another saphead in wantage! Awesome. I'm not set up yet. My shack is close to done and I have been working on my woods thinning things out then this summer moving my 2x6 down from the Catskills. I'm over by lake Windsor how about you?

I guess we made the big time now with the folder "Tapping NJ". Have to finish the new sugar shack before I can think about tapping.

I had to inquire WHY there was no New Jersey folder and then they made one for us this year!

2.8 sugar content last week . Higher than all of last year . boiled about 160 gallons to almost 3 gallons of the lightest syrup yet. I m getting the hang of the evaporator . Good Luck to all. Its nice too know there are other nuts out there,

Nice to ssee a Jersey folder in here.

Taps started going in last wekeend and have been adding thorugh the week. We're up to about 75 taps and will add in another 30 or 20 in another week. We've done all 100 at the same time and we burn out too quickly. We just finished 3 1/2 gallons last night and are looking forward to a few weeks of good sap runs, especially after last year's weird temps. Tomorrow's forecast tells me we'll have a 100 gallon day!:)
