I put out 51 taps just before the warm spell last week or so, got 10 qts of syrup out of the three day run. I was able to set up the lines while everything was still frozen, which was nice for getting across the creek! Starting to get muddy today, collected 30 gallons & brought it to a boil just to wait for the weekend thaw.

Collected & boiled about 40 gallons of sap sunday, should get a couple gallons of syrup from that & what I started last week. Collected 60 gallons Monday, but it's cold and I don't have a shack so I'm waiting till wed when it will be warmer. I have the cold chills & a cough, probably from boiling in the rain...:)

Ive kinda lost track of when & how much sap I collected, but I boiled monday 2/18, and ended up with another six gallons of syrup, bringing my total to ten gallons so far this year.
