Brrr.....nothing running today

It was below 0 when I woke up this morning and won't get above 20, so nothing today. We are finishing up what will end as about 1.5gal of light syrup in the kitchen today. We will can a gallon and leave the rest for pancakes and such. We are going to try a maple cream pie next week, too. Never had one, but I am looking forward to it.

Next big run we get, the kids and I are planning on "camping" in the sugar shack all night. We will eat maple dogs, toasted marshmallows, and play cards. I doubt we make it all night, but its fun planning and will make memories.

I think I would die if I were exposed to -36. I remember one time working at a full-serve gas station as a teen, the temp got to -22 at night with a wind chill of -63. It was insane.
