My freind and I are starting a sugaring operation at the Sharon Academy in Sharon VT. The school is a small non-profit, independent school. This year we taped around 200 trees and plan to tap 300 next year, however we sold the sap because we have no means of boiling it. The school was generous enough to financially help us buy what we needed to start taping, however we would like to expand to boiling and there is no money to do so. We are looking for someone who would be willing to donate an evaporator. We plan on having around 300 taps, so im thinking either a 2 x 6 or a 2 x8 /2.5 x 8. Because the school is a nonprofit, we can give a tax deduction for the donation. Your donation would make a huge diffrence, and would allow Sharon Academy students to learn the techniques and traditions of making maple syrup in Vermont.
