I bought this splitter strictly for syrup wood. We dont burn wood in the house much so its seen 2 seasons of use. I think I must have split 4 or 5 cords of pine with it and a small amount of birch from my property. Unformtunetly I think we are moving where syrup will not be a hobby anymore. I paid 2,240 for this with the bigger honda engine, table and wheel kit. I The thing is so friggen fast that splitting syrup sticks is a fast task. Its located in Brunswick Maine.
