For sale are new 3 gallon maple sap collection bags and hanging sticks. We use these at our small commercial maple operation to collect sap from 3000 trees, so we know they work well. The bags are made from 6 mil food grade poly that come from the factory with all sides sealed, so they have strong, reliable seams that don't leak - we cut in the pour spout and the spout hole after they arrive here. They are intended to be reused, we wash and reuse 3000 of these each year and only lose about 3% of the bags to leaks caused by punctures or ice. For sale here are just the bags and sticks, so to complete the setup, one would also need spouts and clothes pins (the clothes pins clip onto the spout behind the bag and stick to keep it from blowing off). The holes in the sticks will be made to fit a 5/16 lapierre ecolo spout, but they could likely be used on other spouts. The bags and sticks will be made to order and a minimum order of 50 units ($3/unit) is preferable. It is recommended that you order a few extra bags ($1/ea) to replace bags that spring a leak.
