2022 - 21 taps: 470 litres of sap / 15.75 litres of syrup (stopped season short)
2021 - took the season off
2020 - 20 taps: 524 litres of sap / 18.75 litres of syrup
2019 - 14 taps: 416 litres of sap / 15.25 litres of syrup
2018 - 9 taps (309 litres) + a generous neighbour (114 litres): 423 litres of sap / 14.5 litres of syrup
2017 - 4 taps: 55 litres of sap / 1.5 litres of syrup (just enough to get us hooked)

I know of a couple house roofs which caved in and a marina boat storage collapse from the snow/ice load this winter in the Sudbury area, a couple friends lost their boat in. At least nobody got hurt. Probably the most snow rain and ice mix I have seen in a long time.
Ater a week of well, almost perfect temperatures, sun, some cloud, there has to be a bit more to sap flowing than just the above and below temperatures in the beginning of the season that someone is not telling me. Still no sap here, tree trunks are starting to show in areas with full sun but I guess the 6 feet of frost in the ground has the roots frozen solid enough the trees cant pull anything in, does that make sense?? This is all fairly new to me so just wondering.

Been a slow yr here for sap only had two boils to date. Tomorrow its suppose to warm up abit so may get some fingers crossed .Nice looking set up you got there bet you will like the R O have one that is similar and am sure I won't be using the amount of wood anymore .

About 100 taps in, did get some very marginal run Wednesday, too cold now but this week looks good near the end. Sun it out in full force today hopefully it will help wake things up.
