Hooked you say?
I have a commute that most people cringe at the thought of a hour or so of stop n go driving. Well it goes by pretty quick for me when I try to count all the maples that i cant tap.

Oh yeah, I'm starting to miss exits too! Thinking about how to improve the evaporator!

Your hooked when you stop at a garage sale and see nothing SS or that looks like a pail and leave again. Or you go into a store and check out the plumbing fittings twice a week.

How bout when you are deer hunting and a nice buck appears and you don't want to shoot cause it is standing in front of a maple tree.

You know when you have a real dog when it will lick the side of the evaporator during a full boil for the syrup you splash during draw off. Yes my dog does have a lisp

That is funny Haynes. MY German shorthair loves to lick up spilled syrup. Evertime you let her out she runs to the sugarhouse. Does not matter if it is july or march she still runs right to the door waiting for me to spill her a treat.
She stands right next to the arch and watches for sap to splash out of the flue pan so she can get that too. Funny thing is she wont give up and there has been many times where she has fallen asleep standing there waiting and then falls over. One of these days I expect to find her drilling holes and tapping trees Dog loves 2 things bird hunting and maple syrup. MY KINDA OF DOG.

Default Mapletrader Book

I think I may gather these humerous comments and assemble them into a small book along with illustrations. Funny stuff.

3rd gen,
Any idea about getting permission from you guys if your quotes go into print? I will definitely credit each quote by the author (the mapletrader screen names at least).
I think it would be a great little book to read during the slow season.
I want to get some quotes that your wives, girlfriends and kids say about the addiction. They're especially funny. whoever is interested in helping out with your ideas you can email me at:

greg.karas@sbcglobal.net

Thanks!

I would suggest to have any interested parties email you with their address then send them a quick release form to sign granting you permission to use their quotes. I would gladly give you permission. Maybe use their Trader name and then their actual name if they are willing. It would be a really cool book in my opinion.
