I failed to share the actual link to the 30 mil drum liners. All done for the season now, so pulled them out of the 55's, gave them a good rinsing, and store up in my pole barn until next year. So very easy. The initial plans more than 6 years ago was that as long as my drums were food grade, sap storage would be a breeze. In reality, who wants to scrub out a drum buried in the ground ... at any age! The rigid liners are the ticket, for sure.

Do you store only raw sap or have you tried concentrated as well? That is a slick idea for sure!

At this point, just raw sap. I think I'm going to add a homemade RO system next year. Boiled about 595 gallons off of 85 taps this year. I average about 43:1 off our land, and mix of maples. The Smoky Lake divided pan will push about 16-17 with well-seasoned oak split to wrist-sized and fed every 8 minutes. Looking forwards to the potential of the RO system savings with firewood!
