Tried to install on my phone, but is limited to tablets for some reason, I guess i'll keep a dedicated tablet down at the shack, lol.

Edit: maybe my android version is not supported, my phone is android 14

Edit: maybe my big fat thumbs just don't work right...installed fine...

I got an email from a guy I sent the link to, apparently the app hasn't been updated in a while and doesn't get along with newer android operating system. I'll send MES an email and ask em about it. I have it on an old cell phone, not sure what system it is, but it's been on there for 3 or 4 years.

We don't have cell service here at the house, but I kept my old phone because of some of the apps and all of the photos notes and such from a couple of years of sugaring and all my honey bee notes on it. I have the same thumbs!

I like saptapapps, my only problem with it is they use the Wx from a station 15 miles away and they are in a way different microclimate than us. That station is right next to the Ohio river and an interstate, both of which have an impact on temperature. Fortunately for me, we usually 3 to 5 deg colder than the station in town shows and I get runs that aren't predicted on there. I guess all the concrete and asphalt is a heat sink. weather.com is more accurate temperature wise with my zipcode, I use the two of them together with a couple years experience and 6 or 8 thermometers in my sugar bush. It has come down to me being able to pump sap or not sometimes. I've learned to prioritize which sap to pump or haul first by the microclimates on our own farms due to topography. We have a few hollers where the sun don't shine!

    +1 for https://www.saptapapps.com/

Good app, slight learning curve. I like it…
    Sugaring since 2000.
2022 - 113 taps on tubing and gravity. Homemade wood fired evaporator and homemade RO.
2023 - 120 taps on 5/16 and gravity added a float to the pan. built a new 5x400gpd RO. Still use the old one too!
2024 - 125 taps still on 5/16 tubing and gravity, two home made ROs.
