2004 - 2012 2x3 flat pan 25 to 60 taps
2012 2x3 new divided pan w/draw off 55 taps
2018 - didn't boil surgery - bought new evaporator
2019 new SML 2x4 raised flue high output evap. 65 taps
made 17 gal. syrup
2020 - only put out 53 taps - made 16.25 gal. syrup
2021 - Didn't work out
2022 - 25 taps on bags / 8 taps on 3/16's line - late start
2025 - No tapping for me

Just an update on my draw off valve. It works awesome! I ordered the valve recommended by Bricklayer and I couldn't be happier with the performance of the draw off. Thanks everyone for the help. Hopefully we get another 1-1/2 weeks of sap.

I’m glad it’s working for you. I noticed as well with the motorized ball valves that they like a good soak in vinegar every now and then. Nitre builds up on the ball and may cause grief. Most ball valves come apart at each end so that the ball can be taken out. Take it out and soak in vinegar over light or for as long as you can in between boils. Will make a huge difference
