i got same kind of response from maple valley this spring when i had a couple of questions about ordering. seems like they are very service oriented. they even sort of ran thru the test results in their reply, and links (which of course i already had) to the tests.

I have a correction, my fat fingers got my response wrong, on the arc tees in 5/16x5/16x3/16 and the dead end tees the tooling in NOW in the works, I should have read my previous post about them. Somehow it said the tooling in NOT in the works, but it IS in the works, ready in 6-8 weeks supposedly. So maybe early Sept? We'll see. As I stated in my previous post concerning these, the reports from testing at Proctor by our own Dr Tim and others, they show significant increase in flow. More flow gives more syrup!
Sorry for the error. I have now corrected the erronious statement from the other post.
Dave Klish, I recently bought a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
    After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.

    Dave,
Just an FYI on the new arc spouts. Bascoms is now stocking them also. Stocked up at their fall sale; and plan on giving them a shot.
    Thanks, Bill

I got a message back that what specific fitting I was looking for was in tooling stage and expected to be available this fall. I like using a 5/16 drop into a 3/16 lateral, thus need 3/16 x 3/16 x 5/16 tees, they reportedly will be available soon, not what I typed in my response of 7/3/24.

I'm an experimenter of 1, I run 3/16 laterals on flat ground under 26+" of vacuum. I realize I'm foregoing some potential but my thinking is that I get more sap with a lower $ investment which is a win for me.

Last year I was able to purchase 2 of the lunch box pumps off of the mapletrader facebook section and will be able to use both of them this coming season. I used one on a section of 3/16 that had only 33 taps and I know the pump can handle more. For 2025 I plan on having 150 on the pumps and around 40 or 50 on just gravity. That will be enough to keep me busy.
    2004 - 2012 2x3 flat pan 25 to 60 taps
    2012 2x3 new divided pan w/draw off 55 taps
    2018 - didn't boil surgery - bought new evaporator
2019 new SML 2x4 raised flue high output evap. 65 taps
    made 17 gal. syrup
    2020 - only put out 53 taps - made 16.25 ga.l syrup
    2021 - Didn't work out
    2022 - 25 taps on bags / 8 taps on 3/16's line - late start

My experience with lunch box pumps is that 33/pump is about all you want to use. Just my $0.02 YMMV...

That is interesting and informative news. I was under the impression I could put at least 50 taps on each if not more.

Never mind; I'm an idiot! I have just under 100/pump. I have around 33 on a line. Sorry, not enough coffee yesterday! I do find that after 100 performance drops off.

Okay, that makes more sense to me. It all good, heck, I drink coffee all day long starting at about 5:30am on most mornings. I thought when you got older you would be able to sleep in, no such luck. I do however sometimes enjoy a little siesta during the day here and there.
