    Thumbs up First Syurp

Here is the 1/2 cup Syrup I made from the 2.5% sap of the last week and a half.

If I did the math right for my 75 tapes I only missed out on .25 to .30 of a gallon of syrup.

I am glad I did not rush and try to get tapped. Accuweather long range forecast looks like another 3 weeks of winter before the real thaw Marsh 3rd.

I would have some old tap holes by then.

Tapped 50 of my 150 this afternoon after work. 90% were running like mad. Gonna take off work at noon tomorrow and finish them up.

I tapped Tuesday. Most were running but nothing fast. I did not get this app off yesterday, so it is now frozen in the bags. Looks like it should warm up on Sunday and may boil for the first time Sunday night.
