I started getting an off flavor last night when boiling so I am done for the year. I made 160 gallons and am happy with that. Sugar content was down to 1.2% at the end, lowest sugar content I have seen.

I guess its been awhile since I've posted here. Just checking to see how everyone has done the season. For us it has been a record season. Our first sap collected was March 1 and has been running strong ever since. We collected over 5000 gal of sap which puts us at 19.25 gal per tap. We're thinking of being done this Saturday.

Sugarpop, nice to see how it's gone for you! I've been updating the SE WI thread. Crazy being just 75 miles south of you, I was tapped nearly a month earlier (Feb 4th). Record season by a huge margin here.

It looks like I have a few days yet to go and should get at least a top 3 year if not a record year. My second best was last year with 190 gallons and I should pass that this weekend. I am in the tired category also and will need a break.
