Peepers out in full force this morning and brought me a full tank of sap! Working on 1.5 gpt since yesterday morning. I’m guessing this is my last weekend

Wow! What a run. Back to light! Peepers have been quiet this way. Vac ran strong but my 3/16 runs have really slowed. Hoping for another good run next week.

No peepers here, either. Some of my buckets are dried up, while others are running over. They have been in for 6 weeks.

Finished up a few days ago and got the last batch in the can. Finished with 115gal so very good year. Tapped Feb 2 , overall sap was very sweet but filtering became a problem after 4 weeks in. Overall a good season , better than expected with such a warm winter. Hope everyone had a good year.

I got about 350 gallons total on Friday and have it down to 100 at 4½%. All froze up in the sugar house over the weekend so will boil it down tonight.
    No peepers over here!

I turned vac back on this afternoon, I think it'll run through tonight and then shut down with no more freezes for the rest of the week...or make that a year?

That’s my plan as well John, I’ll keep things going until the sap fizzles out. Taking awhile for the trees to thaw today.
