Third Season
Our sugar content is hanging on pretty good, 1.9 yesterday and making Fancy syrup. taps have been in since 12 March we are going to keep going for a while. Still plenty of snow on the ground and the weather forecast looks good. we probably won't another freeze up so next time it warms up we'll be coming to the end, another week would be nice.
If it were easy , everyone would be doing it !!!
Minus 20 in my mind in Lincoln,Vt. this morning then I stepped outside and reality slapped me in the face, It seems to be 110 degrees warmer than that

Minus 7 degrees here in the falls this morn at 6 am. How about you sugarers in the high country?
best outdoor syrup made in Maine...... loosing that title as we are moving indoors to a 12x16 sugar shack with a new to us 2x6 .

Friday morning it was 3 degrees here, at 655 feet elevation.
1,200 taps on USFS land, 3x8 King w/Steamaway. Lapierre RO.
2 degrees here at 355 ft at 7am
