filling cans

Are people out there using cans inserting the metal plug after filling or simply using the screw cap? If you are simply using the screw cap, are you seeing any mold or leakage issues during storage or transport?

I thought the cans were unavailable? When we use to use those we used the metal plug and the screw on lid.
