Default Tapping this weekend - Wilmington

Am really considering tapping Friday and Saturday in Wilmington. The weather is looking up and down for the next week. What do you think?

Buckets or tubing?I was just picking up some new equipment from Chris at maple guys yesterday and I spoke with him about the following weeks weather. I did not look at your forecast as I am 40 miles north of you but up here next week there is only 3 days above freezing with two of the days not getting above 35 and no Sun. I think if I tap for next week I would not get much SAP. The following week looks very promising all days near or in the 40s. I am planning on tapping next week to be ready for the 2nd week of March. If I was on tubing and vac I would tap this weekend
Years sugaring with Grandpa on a turkey fryer
2013 50 taps on steam table pans outside
2014 125+ taps on half pint 12x8 sugar shack
2015 2x6 Sunrise metals JDL drop Flue 300 taps
2016 Bought my first house. New area, less time, 125 taps
2017 More time and getting closer to 300 taps again

If it's tubing and you have the time now, you might as well. I think it is going to take a few days of good temps just to thaw out the trees, but you'll be all in and ready to go for the good temps that are predicted for 3/8 and beyond. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Around 300 taps on tubing, 25+ on buckets if I put them out
Mix of natural and mechanical vac, S3 Controller from Mountain Maple
2x6 W.F. Mason with Phaneuf pans
    Deer Run 250 RO
    Ford F350
6+ hives of bees (if they make it through the winters)
Keeping the day job until I can start living the dream.

Decided to go for it. Got about 40 in when the drill battery died and snowshoe fell off. My 8 yo daughter saved me on that. Planning on finishing the tubing (60 more) tomorrow then making another run of about 50 or 60 on a neighbors property on Sunday.

Im at about 120 and hoping it breaks loose this week. Things are going slow at this point as I have to run the tubing and tap. Hoping to be at 150 by mid week.
