We started with 50 pails, cooking outside. We have progressed upwards to 1700 + taps on pipe line with vacuum.Cooking on a 4x12 with auf/aof . This year we added a wetline and vacuum booster, also updated to Busch mink vacuum pump. New for 2015 will be a Leader Extreme 2 R/O as well as buying sap from some of the locals.
Nice HC2! What size pipes will you plumb it with? We have one on order and our pipes are currently 1", I'm wondering if we need to go bigger?

you will love your ro,just a suggestion, concentrate 50%-60% to start off with till you get used to boiling concentrated sap, much different than boiling raw sap, also will make more syrup faster on evaporator, hope you have a filter press, almost a necessity .GOOD LUCK ,willing to offer any help, had my r.o for 12 yrs, panic sets in when it breaks down.fortunately it has only happened once.added a expansion kit 2 yrs ago to existing r.o,now i concentrate to 15%-18%.make 12gallons syrup per hr on my 3 by 10 leader revolution with max flue pan

we are running 1-1/4 into the feed pump, 1" out to to head tank . In the woods all morning rerouting one main line for better flow and adding 700' more to pick up more taps.Long term weather ( if you can believe it)calling for extended cold through February so we may have lots of time to finish all the details.
