Default Done in Ashby - Friday April 18 2014

little flow between yesterday and today, but got that buddy odder coming off the pan today, that's it, we're done for the season. Thinking about trying the fall tapping. Might be interesting. Still checking our experiment with the shagbark hickories, no sap, nor the poplars. We did a little birch, brought it down half way on the evaporator and rest on a large double boiler, gets better each time we try, but that's not saying much. -dsb

try it on planked salmon, good vanilla ice cream or mix it 50/50 with whiskey! We use it for cooking and not as a pancake syrup.
