Default Finally first boil of the season

Today finally had enough sap to get 2 out of the three outdoor evaporators going. Trying to boil down what I can before the rain after that I do not think I will get out there until early next week. Hopefully we will get something going before the buds come and the temps go the wrong way.

Trees are on a fast drip today. I'm hoping it can go for two ore weeks anyway, but there's only one way to find out. Boil while you can.

Boiling today but unfortunately I think the end maybe be near , temps are expected to be above freezing later this week and today a couple of the big sugar maples on the edge of a field are starting to show signs of budding and not providing much sap yield. I likley will pull the taps later this week.
