Had about 800 gallons come in Saturday afternoon in a short period of time. Was able to sweeten the pans and make a few gallons yesterday. Waiting for the warmer weather to come in on Wednesday and hopefully things will get going for the rest of the week. Back to shoveling some mainlines this afternoon.

Boiled for the first time this year on saturday & burnt the whole batch. Great start to the season. Atleast it looks like I've got plenty of time to scrub my pan & hopefully what sap ran late saturday night won't freeze so tight it pops my buckets.

Temps were cold today with the morning starting out at -10 but had a good run this afternoon with the sun out. Looks like it might be a good next four days.

Micro run here. Trees in the sun ran a bit in the afternoon, but didn't amount to much. I'm impressed that it ran well in the NEK, because here in the banana belt the lines didn't thaw til about 3 pm and then froze up again fast soon after. Looks like we will have some decent runs the next few days which is good because I would like to have sap to boil for open house weekend.
