Default can anyone help identify this pump?

I bought it from a guy who bought it used from a dealer who said "it is the same as a delaval 78". It is a rotory vane with automatic oiler. I want to know if I can run this at 29" without detroying it.

    3x12 drop flue.
1000 taps on 24 inches of vacuum, and 200 buckets.
Bought a used springtech 500 GPH RO
Shooting for 29" of vacuum, less than 5 taps per line, and 2 quarts per tap.

Can't ID it, but I do know you won't get away with 29" in any dairy style pump even with oil flood.

Some DeLaval pumps can do 26" closed which would be bascially nothing hooked to it. From what I understand after asking Bascoms about a 78 it is more in the 20-22" inch range.

well, I adjusted the vacuum regulator, and let the vacuum come up to 24". The pump didnt like it at all. It started getting rattly, so I turned it back down to the 22" it came set to. IM gonna sell it. I want 29".

You need to be looking at liquid ring vacuum pumps to go that high. Have you looked at Indiana Vacuum?

I just bought a 15cfm Kinney 2 stage piston pump. Looking at the pump curves it will pull almost 29" before the cfms drop off
