    Default The sap run here

    Hi, the sap run in Rimouski, first collect today and finish the run tomorrow, then start the boiler. Not all the trees have start to flow yet, but it's comming. Collect near 200 gallons of sap for 625 tap in all. Forecast in good for tomorrow and snow for saturday and sunday, about 15 cm. Bernard in Québec

    Hope you have a good year. We are drowning in sap right now in southeastern Ontario and we tapped on March 1st. good luck!!

    Hi, collect 240 gallons of sap and boil the stuff tomorrow. Forecast is rain for tomorrow, best time for boiling. Bernard

    That seems very low for the amount of taps Bernard

    I only have 30 taps, only boil on Saturdays , I will finish with about 14 gallons minimum
    I am about 35 km north of lachute

    That does seem quite low Bernard. Did most of Quebec have a poor season? Did the weather not cooperate?
    1,200 taps on USFS land, 3x8 King w/Steamaway. Lapierre RO.

    Hey Bernard, whats happen last week in bas st laurent??
    i have my best runs of sap last weekhere in Milan (Lac Mégantic).
    Sap still flowing this morning, low but steady. Have to boil this afternoon, i am at 20 gallons for 100 taps now..
    I heard that from Lac etchemin to east have also some trouble whit season, do you have more info??

    Bernard, Rimouski is way up there, Hard to believe your season is over. Maybe the St Lawrence keeps things warmer?
