    Default Tapped in Durham

Put out 17 taps today on the easily accessed trees around the yard. Sap ran good from all. Even on a maple that didn't run at all last year. Tried to tap some other trees but quickly sank in the snow up to my knees. Should at least be able to sweeten the pan by the end of the week from these taps.
UPDATE: Went out this morning and collected 20 gallons on 17 taps that ran for only a half day. Some were over flowing. At 2.1%!
