Tim Wilmot, from the Univ. of Vermont Proctor Maple Research Center was our guest speaker. He was really good with a lot of useful information for syrup makers at any level.
If you missed it, you missed a really good day. His presentation was followed by a panel discussion answering numerous questions.
Gary Graham, Ohio State Univ., will be the speaker at out Jan. 8, 2011 meeting.

    Hi Folks,

Just for clarification sake, there are two "Tim's" at the UVM Proctor Maple Research Center.

Tim Wilmot (M.S.) is a UVM Maple Extension Specialist. His primary job responsibility is for outreach, although he also conducts some research. His office is at the UVM Proctor Maple Research Center.

Tim Perkins (Ph.D), or "Dr. Tim" here on the Trader, is the Director of the UVM Proctor Maple Research Center. My responsibilities are in administering the UVM maple research program, supervision of the UVM PMRC employees, and research. My office is also at the UVM Proctor Maple Research Center.

The "Tim" attending the MSPAC meeting on Saturday was Tim Wilmot, "Mr. Tim".
