    Default Price/Cost - New 1000Gal Tank

I'm looking for expected price and freight of a NEW 1000 gal roundbottom storage tank. If I had to guess I would say $2300-$2400 plus $200 of freight.

Just for a comparison my son looked at a bulk tank at a junk yard. He didn't know what size it was but I'm guessing 300 to 400 gallon and the yard weighed it to sell at scrap price which was $525. I want to wait for the price of scrap metal to drop before buying.

Our 1500 USG SS tank was about $2500 Cdn and the 800 USG tank is about $1500. Those are 2009 prices - not sure if the price of stainless has gone up or down since.

Ask how much the bigger tanks are for comparison. The larger the tank the cheaper they are per gallon. I ordered a 2100 gallon tank the price is just under 2700, but I priced the 1500 gallon tank and they wanted 2400. My neighbor bought a 3100 gal for 3200. These are all round bottom open top. So ask about the bigger tanks. They dont take up anymore floor space.

Also, I believe Dalliare tanks are quite a bit less expensive than Leader. Take a look at Bascoms website - think I saw both on there.
