I sold out at $54/gal and $16/qt in plastic. I lost no sales because of price.
Dave Klish, I recently ordered a 2x6 wood fired evaporator from A&A Sheet Metal which I will be converting to oil fired
Now have solar, 2x6 finish pan, 5 bank 7x7 filter press, large water jacketed bottler, and tankless water heater.
Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
45 to 50 a gallon around here seems to be about right
I am selling mine for $45 a gallon. The NH Maple Producers Association does a survey every spring and they came up with an average of $51 a gallon. These are at the sugar house prices. Gift shops and stores would be more. I too haven't had any complaints about the price.

I am at 51 per gal and 32 per 1/2 gal for some reason down here the prices are just a little higher. which is good for me. and everyone I sold syrup to loved the prices thought it was a steal. Good for me.

I've been told by 3 dealers this week that syrup profits really soar when you pack in glass bottles. 2 said you can get as much as $110.00 per gallon. Seems kind of high to me.

I know I am a noob here but man seems homeade syrup should get a higher price, especially small producer types. Before this year I bought my syrup at the grocery store, and even at Wal mart its 8.99 for a 12oz glass bottle. Thats $95.00 a gallon at WAL MART! and who knows where that comes from.
Its like when I buy sweet corn from a local guy, its more than I can buy it in the store but its grown a mile from my house, and he replaces it each morning and sells till dark. He told me once that his corn is never more than 12-15 hrs old. I am happy to pay more for it.
You want to see expensive syrup. The gas station in Stanstead is trying to sell 100ml bottles of syrup for $6:95. That is $385 bucks for a Canadain gallon or $262:71 for a Us gallon. I almost choked when I seen the price. I would love to get $50 bucks a gallon for mine.
maybe 50 taps for 2011
Finally ready to boil when I get enough sap
