I agree and the long range is sketchy at the min.
I didn't boil or even collect last night or tonight.

We could stand another snow storm and some cold weather. Most of our orchard is bare. I'm really worried the trees are going to start to bud out soon. We'll just hang on for the ride I guess.

I'm surprised you got 25 degrees last night in Plaistow. It didn't freeze last night at my sugarbush in Littleton.

I wanted to see if I was the only one experiencing the weird behavior with the sap flow. I have one strand of 25 trees that gave me 1.5 gallons of sap today, whereas another strect of 25 trees gave me 8 gallons. It was a great day temp wise, so I thought. Also, the weekend was terible too. I got like 15 gallons of sap off of all 65 taps and that is both sat & sun combined. On friday night, I drove by a bank that has the temp displayed just to see what the temp was reading and it was 29 degrees at around 10pm. Then Saturday all day it was extremely warm. Makes no sense from what I was expecting. Anyone know why it's not running?

I was thinking that we were alone with the funny sap flow. We got enough to boil on Saturday but on Sunday the way it was coming in it would not keep up with the evaporator-we always know when the wind blows its not gonna be a good day for sap-at least that is what we think is going on. I'm sure yesterday was not good either.
