Default Tapped in Berkshire (north of Binghamton)

Never posted here. Just found your forum today.

This is the first time I have ever done this

    Here was my first tap

    My second taps

And my 3/4/5th taps looked like this

    I was boiling outside

But now that it is cold, I am boiling on my electric stove top. Here is my production as of 2 days ago. Add a couple pints to that

I have now learned my candy therm is junk. I am boiling as I type and starting now I am looking for "sheeting" from a spatula to know when it is done!

Pulling the taps today. No flow in 3 days except for a cup or nasty brown looking sap.

I will take a picture tonight of my total output from 5 taps and making it all alone at home!

    Thanks!

Here is my total take for the season. Not pictured is the 2/3rds pint I made and gave to a friend and the 1/2 a pint I used trying to make maple butter. I will make more next year after I get a better system. Man that was a lot of work doing it the way I did it.
    1.68 gallons
