We get our blue bags from Andersons Maple Syrup. Thanks for the tip about putting duct tape on the bags.

Finally got last week's sap boiled down. Made just over a gallon of some really light syrup. I was surprised it was so light given that the sap was fairly old. I had kept the storage drum buried in the snowbank on the north side of my shack and it must have kept it colder than I thought it would. It tastes good, but I like the darker variety myself so this might go as gifts (aka. "bribes"). As of right now, this is the most expensive gallon of syrup I've ever bought.

We put our 140 taps in today. By the time we got done, the first ones we did had 3" in. I guess the season has started for us.
