Seems kind of odd that NH is still in second place. I figured we would have been buried by the producers in VT by now.

Not many producers here in VT follow the trader regularly. Some don't even know about it. In my town alone, there are 13 maple producers, and besides myself, there is only 1 other sugarmaker that uses this forum.

Mike Loudon NH is the same way. We have more producers than any other town in the state. I only know of one other producer in Loudon that uses this site but know that there are at least 12 producers maybe more. In March every street in town has trees tapped on it somewhere.

Russ, here in Alexandria, I'd say there's an easy 8 - 10 sugar shacks (I'd have to guess a few dozen in the bordering towns). But there are only two of us on the trader that I know of.
I think we need a 'mapletrader.com' bumper sticker or something.

I mentioned this site to a couple of beginers at the NY conference as good place to find out info. I can't even remember how I stumbled on this site but I'm really glad i did. I know I met a couple of people who use to be on here but say there just to busy to spend anytime.
We are nearing 150 votes!! we are getting there.
