    Default ants at the taps

ANYBODY HAVE AN ANTEATER FOR SALE OR RENT? I HAVE SIX BUCKETS I PUT OUT WITH/FOR THE KIDS AND TODAY I NOTICED THAT THE SPILES WERE COVERED WITH ANTS.NOT JUST AROUND THE TREE, BUT ACTUALLY INSIDE THE SPOUT STACKED 50 DEEP(OK SO I DIDN'T COUNT THEM) BUT THERE WERE ALOT. IS THIS SOMETHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT? WILL THEY DAMAGE THE TREE? OR DO I LET THEM BE?THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN THESE LITTLE RED BUGGERS.

With all this warm weather i'm suprised you doen't have more bugs. But doen't worry they are just telling you that the sap is bad and the season is over. You could try retapping The weather forecast last time I looked says colder temps are comeing. This season sucks!

The biggest problem with ants is that they act like an osmosis machine and eat all of the sugar out of the sap leaving just water!
