    Default Sap Test Kit

Just in the last week info was released about a sap test kit, don’t know at this early stage what will be able to be detected? Buddy Sap hopefully, Micro Organisms over load, Scour Sap. Needless to say I want a test kit! I don’t dig back thru previous posts but I know I asked why a kit didn’t exist years ago! Congrats to the Canadians who got the patent and now will get my money! I know of two teams working on devices in the good old US of A, just didn’t get there first!

The test kit from what I’ve heard can catch metabolism as well as buddy sap. Metabolism in sap will save a lot of us from cooking it thinking it’s some of the best syrup we have ever made only to find out after it cools down it’s garbage! Those that fill directly into barrels or other storage vessels, sometimes sell it thinking it good! A least if it is turned into syrup it can be set aside to be worked with later!
