Default Electric Generator for Remote Vacuum Pump & Releaser

Does anyone have experience using a electric generator to power a 2 HP or less electric vacuum pump and .5 HP electric releaser in a remote sugarbush location? What size generator? What fuel? Cost to operate? Thanks.

We run a 1hp vacuum pump and a .5hp deep well submersible in releaser. We also have box fan for pump and we use the 12v plug on generator tied into low oil shut off for temp control and moisture protection. We have 2 woods set up this way. We use predator 4750 watt generators they have proved extremely reliable and fuel efficient, they will run 12-16 hours on 4.5 gallons of gas. This way works well for us not ideal but no cost effective way to get power to the woods.
