    Default 2023 North of Nashwauk

Lines run and walking on hard crust snow with snowshoes. Expect to tap Monday the 13th, after this snow dump, as the temps look to be favorable starting Wednesday.

Tapped the 19th with only a few wet trees with direct southern exposure. Back up to bush the 22nd to plow more wet snow. Next couple weeks looks like it should be ideal minus a couple days of 30 ish temps. Hoping once it starts it doesn’t stop.

Here we are April 4, 2023 and only 25 gallons in the tank. April 4, 2022 was our first boil for the year and on April 4, 2021 we had our last boil and pulled taps for that year.
Not liking the forecast for Effie that’s for sure.
