    Default Tapping Northern Michigan

    Put in 66 taps yesterday in Hale area. Trees are running. Still 8+ inches of snow in the woods. Weather looks good for next 10 days. Last year tapped about the same number but started March 16 and made about 11 gallons of syrup. Season was short but sweet. Hoping for about the same for this year. Family and friends love my hobby...

    I tapped 150 trees (gaylord area) friday 3/3/23 sunday i picked up 410 gallons then another 100 gallons monday. Not sure how much i will have in the next couple days, but things look like a busy week.

    2016 125 Taps all on 3/16 gravity average 18 in. vacuum, 43 Gallons Syrup, Same Arch and Pan
    2017 125 Taps all on 3/16 gravity average 18 in. vacuum, 44 Gallons Syrup, Same Arch and Pan
    2018 155 Taps all on 3/16 gravity average 18 in. vacuum, Same Arch and Pan, home built 100 gph ro unit
