Why not try the idea of a transfer line from 1 bucket to the next several times in series. If you try that, just keep the buckets in succession always down hill and keep the lines tight bucket to bucket. If you want to vent, put a small breather hole in each lid, but have the overflow tubing fit tight, and close to the top of each bucket.
In my 1st season I had up to taps on a 5 gal jug (that I got from a Chinese restaurant, I cleaned them well which wasn't easy. I don't recall any over flows, but I emptied them 2x daily.

Recently bought another Gingerich RO, this one was a 125, but a second membrane was added thus is a 250, like I had.
After running a 2x3, a 2x6, 3x8 tapping from 79 taps up to 1320 all woodfired, now I'm going to a 2x6 oil fired and a 200-425 taps.
