Forecast for the next two weeks in central Ohio makes me think I should already have taps in.
5-6 weeks early by the calendar, hope I'm not missing the boat.

I'll be putting taps out next weekend. Weather looks very favorable over the next 30+ days.
Has anyone put taps in yet? Just seems way too early...but the weather says now is the time. Am I wrong?
I've collected about 8 gallons of sap from 6 taps in 4 days.
First Boil of the year. I have collected around 18 gallons of sap in 10 days from 6 taps.
Finished my first boil today, ended up with 2 quarts of amber sirup. Time to collect more sap.2023 Maple Sirup.jpg
