Well fellow traders yours truly made the Maple News, a very well written article about buying sap. If you have the equipment to process extra sap don’t turn it down, what the article didn’t cover is the value of finished syrup to the buyer.
This Spring the seller delivered slightly over 4700 gallons of sap that averaged 1.7, I paid .31cent a gallon, roughly 1480 dollars, produced around 95 gallons of syrup that retails over 5500 dollars! Good deal for me!
